Marty Guastella is Chief Human Resource Officer for Oswald Companies, one of the nation’s largest independent commercial insurance brokerage and risk management firms. With over 25 years of progressive experience, Marty joined Oswald in July 2012 as the company’s strategic Human Resource leader and serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Oswald, Marty was Vice President of Human Resources for a national leader in medical diagnostic imaging services. He has held the positions of Managing Partner for Cleveland-based Human Resource Consulting Practice, and Vice President Executive Recruitment for a nationally recognized search firm where he served the varied needs of many privately and publicly held companies.
Marty received the ERC/CSHRM Human Resource Award for Business Leadership, and was honored by Crain’s Cleveland Business magazine Archer Awards as a Finalist in Innovation, celebrating excellence in Human Resources. He has been featured on various industry publications and blogs, and has been quoted on local television news and National Public Radio regarding Human Resource policy.
Mr. Guastella earned an MBA in Human Resource Management & Labor Relations and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He holds the professional designations of SPHR, Senior Professional in Human Resources, as recognized by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and SHRM-SCP, Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional.
Marty is very active in the Human Resource community and serves on the board of the Human Resource Leadership Group of Northeast Ohio, is Chairman of The Human Resource Leadership Working Group for the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, Advisory Board Member for Insurance Studies Program at Kent State University, and member of the Assurex Global Human Resource Committee.
