Eberhardt Succeeds Retired CFO Joseph DuBois
CLEVELAND, Nov. 8, 2023 – Unison Risk Advisors (URA) and Oswald Companies have appointed Chris Eberhardt, a highly experienced financial executive from Northeast Ohio, to serve as its new chief financial officer. Eberhardt succeeds Unison Risk Advisors and Oswald former CFO Joseph DuBois, who has retired after 15 dedicated years with the firms, and more than 30 years of financial leadership roles within the risk and insurance industry. URA is the dba of JBO Holding Co., the legacy parent organization of Oswald Companies in downtown Cleveland. Both firms are headquartered in the Oswald building at 1100 Superior Ave.
In his role, Eberhardt will be responsible for financial reporting, treasury functions, financial planning, and budgeting and forecasting. He also has oversight of various financial analysis, including performance benchmarking and general evaluation of merger and acquisition targets, as well as compliance with all insurance regulatory requirements.
Eberhardt comes to URA and Oswald with three decades of experience. He spent the last 11 years of his career at Materion in Mayfield Heights, where he most recently was vice president of treasury and tax. After starting his career at Ernst & Young and Deloitte, Mr. Eberhardt also held financial leadership roles at Associated Materials and Stoneridge Electronics.

Eberhardt’s career has enabled him to specialize in financial strategy and planning, treasury management, risk management, cash flow optimization, EPS enhancement and corporate tax. He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting and his Master of Science in taxation at the University of Akron and has an active CPA license.
DuBois will continue to support Oswald and URA for the next 12 months as a consultant.
