For over 20 years, Cathy Kosin has provided strategic risk management and personalized insurance services to clientele across a broad range. With specialization in the large line Risk Management and Middle Market brokerage segments, she has a primary focus on casualty and international risks. Earning trust and respect from both clients and the marketplace, Cathy brings a high-touch approach to client service that has resulted in long-term relationships.

Cathy is also a senior advisor to Oswald’s International Practice and the firm’s Assurex Global partnership. Assurex Global is a consortium of leading risk management and insurance brokerages with nearly 600 partner office locations in more than 80 countries. She is a recognized leader in the international arena with experience presenting at global conferences and events sponsored by Assurex.  In addition to her practice, she is a founding member of and current advisor to Oswald’s Women’s Leadership Council which has allowed her to play an active role in the managerial advancement of women within the organization. Passionate about conscious capitalism, Cathy engages her team in at least one volunteer service opportunity each month and has been recognized as a local thought leader around building company culture.  She leads Oswald’s Employee Engagement and DE&I Strategic Planning Committees.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University. She has received the designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and is a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC). Additionally, she is an FEI Strategic Partner and a current member of RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) and the Detroit Regional Chamber. She also sits on the advisory board for the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber.
