The Changing Landscape of Design Post Covid-19 ◆ Presented by AXA XL’s Nicole Mangino, Esq., CPCU, RPLU,
    1 AIA LU / PDH / HSW

This course provides participants with a high-level overview of claims activity and loss trends as the U.S. begins to return to work following stay at home orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will explore the elements of negligence and focus on the standard of care as the changing landscape of public buildings and their users requires more of design professionals in controlling future infection spreads in many buildings and spaces. As designers are faced with “infection control” scenarios, new requirements for social distancing or screening checkpoints, and some firms even offering COVID-19 related services, their standard of care will inevitably change and with it will be a heightened scrutiny on designer’s role in public safety.
