Warning Signs of a Claim
This program aims to increase a design professional’s situational awareness, allowing them to better anticipate and identify potential liability issues before they arise. The course will address various challenges encountered during the design and construction phases, which can heighten a design professional’s liability risk, especially when dealing with onerous contract terms.
Participants will gain insights into the distinctions between professional liability insurance for architects and engineers and general liability insurance for contractors, understanding how these differences can magnify a designer professional’s exposure. Emphasis will be placed on early reporting to brokers and maximizing the assistance provided by insurance carriers.
