CLEVELAND – Nov. 15, 2018 – Marc S. Byrnes, Chairman of Oswald Companies, will be recognized at the 64th Annual Humanitarian Dinner on Wednesday Nov. 28, 2018, at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.
Presented by The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, Marc will be honored with the PwC LeadDiversity Alumni Award for his outstanding dedication and community service in Northeast Ohio.
As a fixture in the community, Marc served as past Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Way of Greater Cleveland and he was named United Way Volunteer of the Year in 2011. He is an active member on the following Boards: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and University School. He received University School’s Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award in 2012 and the Gordon E. Heffern Award for Values, Ethics and Community in 2018.
Marc also served on the bond issue committees for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the Metroparks. He acted as transition Co-Chair for County Executive, Armond Budish, and he is a member of the County’s Economic Commission Council. Marc serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Cleveland Leadership Center, the preeminent organization for building and engaging civic leadership and he was President (2012-2013) of the 50 Club of Cleveland, the city’s largest leading business society. He was inducted into the Cleveland Business Hall of Fame in 2016.
Marc will join fellow honoree, Enid Rosenberg, Community Leader, on Nov. 28 to accept this award.

The evening event will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. immediately followed by a dinner and program at 6:45 p.m.
