Oswald Companies has acquired RHK Group of Columbus. This is Oswald’s second acquisition in 2025, following ClearPath Benefit Advisors, also of Columbus.
Established in 1960, RHK is the broker for thousands of clients, assisting with their insurance needs in employee benefits, personal and commercial coverage.
“RHK has built a successful brokerage in Central Ohio, and we’re excited to add their industry knowledge to our experienced team,” said Oswald Columbus Market President Jon Sadlier.
“We met with several firms as we began looking for a partner, and the meeting with Oswald was just different from the rest. Oswald’s resources and capabilities were a great fit for us. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Oswald family,” said Ron Mooney, who co-owned RHK with his wife, Jenny. Both are now senior sales executives with Oswald.
The firm will maintain its office in the Columbus suburb of Dublin for the immediate future, with plans to merge with Oswald’s Columbus office in 2026.
Oswald and its umbrella company, Unison Risk Advisors, have been on a growth trajectory in recent years. In 2024, Oswald acquired Brieden Consulting Group of Michigan, opened an office in Canton, Ohio, and moved its headquarters to a new space in downtown Cleveland, where it has been based since its establishment in 1893.
Oswald and Unison Risk Advisors will continue to strive for growth both organically and through acquisitions.
