Lacy Rex, Jonida Stuewe Named 2023 Power Brokers by Risk & Insurance Magazine®
Two insurance brokers from Oswald Companies were named among the nation’s best in the 2023 Power Broker awards by Risk & Insurance magazine.
Lacy Rex, vice president and cyber strategic leader, was chosen in the cyber category. Jonida Stuewe, vice president and practice leader in property and global risk, won for the specialty category. They were selected from thousands of nominees from across the country.
“When a broker exudes creativity and industry knowledge, and has customer service in their blood, we call them Power Brokers,” said the editorial staff of Risk & Insurance magazine.
With cyberattacks a rising concern, Lacy uses her 16 years of industry experience to stay on top of the latest trends and helps her clients avoid pitfalls.
“She goes above and beyond during the renewal process and then remains on top of things throughout the entire year,” said Stephanie Lamp, treasury manager for banking for Diebold Nixdorf. “She reaches out and provides insights into what she’s seeing in the market and tips on things that our company can do to help make our renewal go more smoothly.”
Jonida has more than 15 years of insurance industry experience. She prefers to work with her clients from beginning to end, providing detailed explanations along the way. When the Columbus Crew Major League Soccer team built a new $200 million stadium, insurance was high until Jonida stepped in.
“Jonida assisted us in using a consultant to significantly lower the required insurance that our lender found appropriate,” said Gregory Rush, CFO of the Columbus Crew. “She also did a wonderful job explaining the process to our lender. (She did it) so well that one person commented that they had never seen this specific lender have no comments or questions on the outcome.”
