Oswald Accepts 2017 Harvest for Hunger Bag of Hope Award, Greater Cleveland Food Bank
CLEVELAND – June 15, 2017 – Led by OswaldCARES, Oswald’s internal charitable committee, Oswald Companies grew its 2017 Harvest for Hunger Campaign more than 100 percent through a new, engaging, and multi-week program to bolster donations and participation from employee-owners.
For these efforts, including the campaign culmination of a companywide spring gift basket competition and auction, Oswald was presented The Bag of Hope Award at the 2017 Greater Cleveland Food Bank Harvest for Hunger Recognition Breakfast, June 14.
This award, bestowed to companies 400 employees and over, recognized creativity and growth in the firm’s Harvest for Hunger Campaign, and overall impact.
“The generosity and creativity set forth by our employee-owners was truly remarkable in supporting this critical cause,” said Robert J. Klonk, Chief Executive Officer, Oswald Companies. “We congratulate the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and Harvest for Hunger committee on their successful 2017 campaign.”
“We are very excited for the future of Harvest for Hunger and Food Bank awareness for our organization,” said Oswald’s Harvest for Hunger Chair Audrey Schuetzman. “This campaign has really helped start conversations and awareness of how many people in our community go hungry every day.”
Schuetzman added, “Many of us at Oswald, including friends and family, plan on volunteering at the Food Bank now that our campaign is over, as well as build on this year’s success to grow our support in the future.”
The Greater Cleveland 2017 Harvest for Hunger campaign broke a record with 21.6 million meals provided. View the full recap article via Cleveland.com and get involved at http://www.greaterclevelandfoodbank.org/.
