Oswald Women’s Leadership Council: Year of Celebration

This is the “Year of Celebration” for the Oswald Women’s Leadership Council (WLC). While Oswald Companies commemorates 125 years of “caring for our clients and employees needs today and tomorrow”, the WLC celebrates five years of “empowering, developing and advancing women.”

Oswald Companies has long recognized a drive to be diverse and inclusive, and five years ago, took the official leap and formalized the Women’s Leadership Council. Since then, the WLC has provided opportunities both internally for our employee-owners and externally in our community to engage in professional and personal growth and development.

This year, as we celebrate these successes, we will continue to embark on developmental opportunities for our employee-owners, share success stories through our blog series, and expand our reach geographically to connect with our Detroit colleagues and community.

Over the past few years, we have hosted a number of lunch-and-learn sessions focused on developmental areas for the women of Oswald. Our first program of the year will focus on creating a brand to promote their strengths and demonstrate they are ready for the next level within Oswald.

We are so thrilled to share some of these and other success stories though our blog series this year. We have employee-owners who came to Oswald years ago and worked their way up from entry level to senior management. We will share these stories and others that make Oswald a great place to work.

Finally, we will cap off our “Year of Celebration” by hosting our annual signature event in Detroit. We will join our Market Leader, Cathy Kosin, for inspiring and engaging dialogue with some of Detroit’s top female talent.

We hope you follow our blog series this year to celebrate all the achievements of the WLC and get inspired to join in the conversation to empower, develop, and advance all women!
