Christina Capadona-Schmitz, Vice President and Director of Marketing Communications, Oswald Companies, has been named a 2018 Distinguished Marketing and Sales Awards honoree.
Presented by Sales & Marketing Executives of Cleveland (SME), DMSA is the profession’s premier honor to acknowledge excellence and provide community recognition for outstanding sales and marketing achievements. Selection criteria is based on the demonstration of the highest business, professional and ethical standards.
The DMSA Annual Awards Banquet will take place Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven where the 2018 Business Executives of the Year, Jeff and Tom Heinen, Owners, Heinen’s Grocery Stores and the 2018 DMSA recipients will be honored in a gala event.
Capadona-Schmitz, who joined Oswald in 2013, leads the firm’s marketing, media and communications division, providing consultation and communications services to its full range of business units, specialty practices, seven regional locations and partner companies. She collaborates closely with all operations units to execute large-scale corporate initiatives, including strategic planning, community engagement, strategic partnerships, and more.
In addition to oversight of the firm’s community impact and engagement, and contributions as a member and senior advisor to The Oswald Women’s Leadership Council, Christina is a co-founder and senior advisor of OswaldCLIMBs, Oswald’s young professional and emerging leader organization.
In the community, she serves on the Board of Directors of the West Side Catholic Center, holding the position of Secretary, along with service on the Center’s Advancement Committee.
She is also the founder and publisher of DownWithSpitup.com, the online support system for parents and caregivers managing infant reflux and related matters, and Down With Spit Up’s signature product, Bib Builder. She publishes on the topics of creativity, service, and leadership on her personal blog ChristinaCSmedia.com, and contributes to several media channels.
